Following Jesus Together: Those Beside

Who is walking beside you as you follow Jesus? We were never meant to follow Him alone. God designed the local church to give us more than a crowd to worship with, He gives us people to walk with. And the people closest to us will inevitably shape who we become: “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise” (Proverbs 13:20). We need Christ-centered friendships with brothers and sisters who know us, sharpen us, encourage us, and are willing to labor for Christ to be formed in us. Those friendships can’t be forced, but they can be discovered as we faithfully share life with others over time. Find your people, open your life, and pursue Jesus alongside friends who are becoming more like Him, and helping you do the same.
