The Gospel of Mark: Rooting out Unbelief

Do you truly know God or do you just know about Him? Sometimes deep-seeded unbelief can take root in our hearts. It manifests as an unwillingness to trust God or take Him at His Word. In this passage, Jesus confronts the Sadducees for their willful ignorance, a refusal to know truth. Yet even in His rebuke, there’s good news: if Jesus says they’re wrong, it means there is a right. Jesus shows that real faith is found in knowing the truth, knowing eternal life, and knowing God Himself. The Sadducees rejected the supernatural, lived as if this world was all there is, and tried to keep God at arm’s length. But Jesus invites us into something far better—a living relationship with the God of the living. Do you truly know Him? Or have you kept Him at a distance? God is calling us to repent of unbelief and step into faith, to know His truth, His power, and His eternal life.
